If you were a fan of the 1980′s television hit series The A-Team, then you probably truly enjoyed 20th Century Fox’s film adaptation of the movie. Hitting the big screen on June 11, 2010, the movie starred Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton Jackson, and Sharlto Copley. Directed by Joe Carnahan and produced by Stephen J. Cannell, it received mixed reviews from critics but received a warm reception for long time fans of the original series.

Now you can own the unrated extended cut of the A-Team on Blu-ray and on DVD and watch it from the comfort of your own home. The main plot of the movie is based on the team being imprisoned for a crime they did not commit. After escaping from prison, they embark on a journey to clear their names. Billed as an action-comedy, the movie initially went through a great deal of writers and story ideas and was put on old lot of times. In fact, it had been in development since the mid-1990s.

The movie begins with John “Hannibal” Smith played by Liam Neeson, is held captive in Mexico by two corrupt Mexican police officers who work for the renegade General Javier Tuco played by Yul Vasquez. Wit eight years and eighty successful missions under their belt, the team is known as a highly-regarded elite Special Forces unit. The film ends with a classic narration that mirrors the opening credits of the original television series stating how the A-Team now live as soldiers for hire.
